What can you expect from a 10-day program?

The ABC Digital Teens Toronto program offers a comprehensive and immersive experience for high school students seeking to develop digital and entrepreneurial skills in an international setting. It was co-developed and co-created with Algebra University, the leading educational institution active in the fields of digital technologies  from data science, digital art, digital marketing, multimedia and game development.

Participants can expect a variety of activities and opportunities designed to enhance their knowledge and abilities over the course of the 10-day program. Here’s what you can generally expect:

1. Lectures: Engage in informative lectures delivered by industry experts, thought leaders, and professionals. These sessions aim to provide participants with a solid understanding of key concepts, trends, and insights related to digital technology and entrepreneurship.

2. Workshops: Participate in hands-on workshops where students can apply theoretical knowledge to practical scenarios. Workshops may cover a range of topics such as coding, digital marketing, business strategy, and other relevant skills.

We believe that living on a student campus gives you countless opportunities to meet new people and develop lasting friendships as well as social, educational, and recreational opportunities. At ABC Digital Teens program, the official housing provider will be International Living/Learning centre (ILC) at Toronto Metropolitan Univesristy which is located at the heart of downtown Toronto, the location reflects the vibrant, diverse, and ever-changing atmosphere of Canada’s largest and most vibrant city. The university is located close to some of Toronto’s attractions, such as the CN Tower, The Rogers Centre, Air Canada Centre, The Hockey Hall of Fame, and many more.

Overview of the program

Workshops: 30 hours

At the heart of the ABC Digital Teens Toronto program lies a dynamic and transformative element – our hands-on workshops. We believe in learning by doing, and these workshops are designed to turn theoretical knowledge into practical skills, preparing you for the digital and entrepreneurial landscape of tomorrow. 

Students will engage in a comprehensive spectrum of activities, ranging from mastering design thinking and participating in startup simulations to refining their pitching skills and crafting compelling videos.

CORPORATE VISITS: 20 hours

By embarking on exhibition tours and corporate visits to renowned companies such as TikTok, Spotify, DMZ, and Toyota, coupled with enlightening talks from guest speakers, participants will gain a profound understanding of the intricacies of conducting business in North America.

FREE TIME FOR ENJOYING THE CULTURE AND TRAVELING 

During afternoons and weekends, participants will have the opportunity for leisure and exploration. Highlights include a visit to the majestic Niagara Falls and engaging in various afternoon activities such as a baseball game, city-wide treasure hunt, communal cooking sessions at our accommodations, bowling, arcade adventures, sports and adrenaline-fueled activities, and a chance for some retail therapy with shopping excursions.
