1. Registration and acceptance into the Kaleo Academy program

Applications for the program are collected through a special form on the Kaleo Academy website and email: info@kaleoexplore.si. All students who meet the age requirements and have the appropriate prerequisites for participation in the chosen program may apply. The minimum age for a teenager is 13 years old. Admission to the program depends on the number of available places and the assessment achieved during the application process. A minimum of 20 participants is required to conduct the Kaleo Academy in individual terms. Accepted participants in the Kaleo Academy program receive a confirmation message containing all relevant and up-to-date information regarding the educational program upon payment of the registration fee from the organiser to the email address they provide during the application process. Only participants who receive a confirmation message (that is, who have fulfilled payment obligations) are accepted into the program – see point 3. In the event of lower attendance, the program will be carried out in an adapted form or canceled, and the registration fee will be refunded within 1 week of the cancellation notification. In case of questions regarding the application or anything else, the Kaleo Academy organiser is available at info@kaleoexplore.si.

2. Equipment and material

Participants must have their own laptop and smartphone to participate in the program. In addition, participants will receive the necessary material and tools to work on the program. If the participant does not have their laptop or smartphone, they must inform the organiser before the program’s start. The organiser will try to provide appropriate equipment for the participant, but this is not guaranteed.

3. Payment and cancellation of participation

The program’s price is published on the Kaleo Academy website and is valid for the entire program’s duration. Payment is made in advance, no later than the deadline specified on the Kaleo Academy website.

• In the event of cancellation of participation, which is communicated no later than 30 days before the start of the program, 90% of the payment will be refunded.
• In the event of cancellation of participation, which is communicated less than 30 days before the start of the program but before 15 days before the start of the program, 50% of the payment will be refunded.
• In the event of cancellation 15 days before the start of the program, the full amount will be retained, with the possibility of transferring the registration fee to the next year (written agreement required).
   

After paying the registration fee, participants receive a certificate of acceptance into the Kaleo Academy program. Only online applications or applications by email do not guarantee registration or a place in the program.

4. Duration and implementation of the program:

The program’s duration is published on the Kaleo Academy website. The program is carried out according to the schedule published on the Kaleo Academy website. Kaleo Academy reserves the right to change the schedule, but it informs participants at least one week before the start of the program.

5. Personal data protection:

Kaleo Explore ensures the protection of personal data in accordance with applicable Slovenian legislation on personal data protection and the GDPR. The collection, use, and storage of personal data are carried out solely for the purposes of implementing, promoting, and advertising the Kaleo Academy program with the prior consent of the user/participant and will not be disclosed to third parties without the consent of the participants.

6. General provisions: 

Participants of the program undertake to respect the rules of conduct and instructions provided by the organiser. The organiser shall not be liable for any damages that may occur to the participants of the Kaleo Academy program during the course of the program caused by other participants, performers, or third parties. Any disputes shall be resolved amicably and with mutual assistance by the organiser. If this is not possible, the dispute shall be resolved by the competent court in Ljubljana.

7. Interruptions of the program due to unforeseen events or circumstances: 

In the event that the Kaleo Academy program cannot be carried out or must be terminated prematurely due to unforeseen events or circumstances, such as natural disasters, force majeure, or other extraordinary circumstances that may affect the implementation of the program, Kaleo Academy reserves the right to change the schedule, location, or method of implementing the program. In such a case, participants shall be informed of any changes and options for continuing the program or refunding payments as soon as possible. Kaleo Academy shall not be liable for any additional costs incurred by participants due to the interruption of the program.
